Since 1989, Driver Reviver has been saving lives by offering free tea and coffee breaks to travellers across Australia. Regardless of the weather, these community-run pop-up sites are available to help.
However, infrequent operating hours can confuse drivers. To address this, @Driver Reviver Australia created a video series to clarify what the public can expect from the initiative. @Creatifyvideos engaged to visit several New South Wales sites and capture the essence of the people and their stories through documentary videos. The goal is to spread the Driver Reviver message, showcase these unique sites, and encourage more drivers to take breaks when needed.
Director Dana, her cinematographer husband Lliam, and their Siberian Husky, Shadow, embarked on a 12-day, 2,599km journey from Melbourne to NSW. They visited Harden, Raymond Terrace, Browns Flat, Tamworth, Coolha, Cowra, and back to Melbourne. The trip required meticulous planning, including dog-friendly motels and coordinating site visits.
This series is dear to our hearts. We conducted discovery interviews with site leaders to understand their perspectives and spent shooting days interviewing volunteers, filming travellers, and exploring the natural beauty of NSW via drone and land. Each story is unique, driven by the personalities and the scenery.
Driver Reviver will showcase these films on their social media channels and website, spreading the message to "Stop, Revive, Survive."
